Do not
use contractions.
"Do
not" carries more weight than "Don’t" does in both verbal
speech and in written text. The same is true of "will not"
and "won’t" or "you will" and "you’ll."

Do not use ambiguous contractions such as I’d, you’d, or he’d
because I’d can either mean I would or I had. They force the reader
to stop and figure out what you mean.

Do not use invented contractions like could’ve, should’ve, and
would’ve.
